TRAINING IN HEALTHCARE

Requirements
Must have:
- CV (complete and in tabular form; with dates of education/vocational training)
- Copy of passport (valid for at least 6 months)
- German language certificate (B2 at “good/satisfactory” from a language teaching institute such as the Goethe Institute, TELC or ÖSD; not more than a year old)
- Certificate of training / school leaving certificate (in the original language and in a certified German translation)
Nice to have:
- Certificate recognition
- International vaccination card
- Certificate of good conduct (from abroad)
- Embassy appointment
- Letter of motivation
- Confirmation of experience in nursing care
- Residence permit (if already living in Germany)
- School reports of the level of education (if already in education and a change
Application process
Training starts:
-Spring
-Autumn
Once the submitted documents have been checked, there will be an online interview to discuss the further steps.
THE TRAINEE´S TASKS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- If applicable, compile the documents for the recognition of certificates and forward them to the department Human Resources International
- Request an appointment at the embassy
- Apply for an international vaccination card and certificate of good conduct
- Vaccinations must be completed in the home country in good time before the start of training
- Trainee to submit all the documents at the embassy appointment
THE EMPLOYER´S TASKS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Allocation to the facility and subsequent preparation of the employment contract and other documents
- Registration at the nursing school when travelling to Germany for the first time
- If applicable, submission of the documents for the recognition of certificates
- Plan entry to Germany with a valid visa
- Email documents to trainee

What the training consists of:
- three-year training programme
- theoretical and practical training
- block lessons (several weeks of theory, followed by several weeks of practical work)
- theory part at nursing school
- practical part with the training company (care facility)
- Further assignments in every service area:
- in a hospital
- with outpatient care services
- in psychiatric care
- in the care of children and adolescents

- Salary: 1st year of training: € 1,340.69, 2nd year of training: € 1,402.07, 3rd year of training: € 1,503.38 (as at 01.04.2024)
